FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Renovating your home is an important decision, and it’s natural to have questions before you begin. Our FAQs cover the most common enquiries about our kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom design and installation services.

If you need anything further, please use the contact form below and a member of our team will be happy to assist.

Do you offer installation-only (where I supply the equipment)?

In short, no.

We supply and install all equipment as part of our service. This ensures that everything meets our quality standards and is fully compatible before installation begins.

Unfortunately, many products available online can be unsuitable or substandard, which can lead to delays, additional visits, and unnecessary disruption. By providing both the equipment and installation, we can guarantee a smoother process and a reliable end result for every client.

How long does a kitchen, bedroom, or bathroom installation take?

Kitchens
A full kitchen installation, including removal of the existing kitchen, typically takes around two weeks. This can extend by an additional week depending on worktop fabrication times and any additional services required.

Bedrooms
Most bedroom installations are completed within a week, and smaller projects can take just a day or two depending on the number of cabinets.
For bespoke designs—such as angled units to maximise space—we often carry out the installation in two stages: first installing the framework and internals, then returning once the custom-made doors are ready.

Bathrooms
Bathroom installations generally take between two and three weeks. Larger or more intricate designs may take slightly longer, but most projects are completed within this timeframe.

How much does a kitchen, bedroom, or bathroom cost?

This is one of the most common questions we’re asked—and understandably so. The honest answer is that every project is different, as costs depend on the size of the space, the specification, and the level of finish you choose.

As a guide, for a complete service including design, removal, preparation, and full installation (covering electrics, plumbing, plastering, flooring, tiling, and appliances where required), typical project costs are:

  • Kitchens: £12,000 – £85,000
  • Bedrooms: £5,000 – £30,000
  • Bathrooms: £12,000 – £45,000

To give you a clearer idea, here are a few typical examples:

  • A smaller kitchen refresh with standard units and worktops may fall between £12,000–£20,000
  • A mid-range kitchen with upgraded finishes and appliances is often £20,000–£40,000
  • A high-end or bespoke kitchen with premium materials and layouts can range from £40,000 upwards
  • A bedroom installation with fitted wardrobes typically ranges from £5,000–£15,000, with bespoke designs and larger spaces reaching £20,000+
  • A standard bathroom renovation is usually £12,000–£20,000, while more luxurious or complex designs can range from £20,000–£45,000

We’re always happy to talk through your ideas and provide a tailored quote to suit your space, style, and budget.

If you have a budget in mind, let us know—we can often suggest options to make the most of it.

Are your cabinets flat-pack or rigid?

All of our kitchens and bedrooms are supplied with rigid, factory-assembled cabinets as standard.

We work with trusted European manufacturers including Rotpunkt, Schüller, and Impuls, as well as our handcrafted in-frame collection by Novelle. Each offers excellent build quality, precision, and a consistently high standard of finish.

Rigid cabinetry provides greater strength, improved alignment, and a more refined result compared to flat-pack furniture. It also helps ensure a smoother installation process and a kitchen or bedroom that looks and performs as it should from day one.

Where required, larger or more complex units—such as tall cabinets or bespoke pieces—may be supplied in sections to allow for safe access, before being carefully assembled on site by our team.

Whether you’re looking for something simple and practical or a more bespoke design, we can guide you through the best options to suit your space and budget.

If you’re unsure what’s right for your project, feel free to get in touch—we’re always happy to offer straightforward advice.

Do you use your own fitters or subcontractors?

We use a combination of our in-house installation team and a small number of carefully selected subcontractors, allowing us to maintain exceptional standards while offering flexibility on scheduling.

Our work is led by Richard Watson, Director and Project Installer, a highly experienced, time-served craftsman who personally oversees and carries out installations. Richard’s diary is often booked in advance due to demand.

Supporting him is our in-house team, including Laurence and Simon, both skilled installers with strong backgrounds in kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom fitting. Simon is a time-served joiner with excellent kitchen-related plumbing experience, while Laurence is a highly capable multi-skilled installer with particular strength in plumbing and finishing details, developed through years of working closely alongside Richard.

Where required, we also work with a small number of trusted subcontractors. Every installer is carefully chosen to ensure they meet our standards for workmanship, reliability, and attention to detail. Anyone working on your project represents our company, so quality and consistency are always our priority.

This approach allows us to deliver a high standard of installation while keeping lead times as flexible as possible.

If you’d like to discuss your project or current availability, we’re always happy to help and advise on the best way to move forward.

What appliances do you supply?

We supply a carefully selected range of high-quality kitchen appliances from leading European manufacturers, ensuring performance, reliability, and design consistency across every installation.

Our core appliance partners include Bosch, Neff, Siemens, Smeg, and Elica.

We are also an approved Siemens Studioline and Home Connect dealer, offering their premium connected appliance range for integrated smart kitchen solutions.

Alongside this, we are an AEG Premier Dealer, and we offer Liebherr refrigeration, known for its exceptional build quality and specialist cooling technology.

For more budget-conscious projects, we can also supply CDA, although our focus is primarily on mid to premium appliance solutions.

We also supply a wide range of small domestic appliances, including products from Bosch and Smeg, as well as innovative solutions such as Bosch vacuum systems, including integrated and self-cleaning robotic options for modern homes.

Some of our most popular choices include:

  • Neff ovens with Slide & Hide® doors, valued for their practicality and ergonomic design
  • Smeg ranges, known for their distinctive styling and strong performance
  • Elica extraction systems, including advanced integrated hob and extraction solutions for minimalist kitchens

Our role is to help you choose appliances that not only suit your budget, but also complement your kitchen design and lifestyle.

If you’d like advice on the best appliance package for your project, we’re always happy to guide you through the options.

What kitchen worktops do you offer?

We supply and install a wide range of high-quality kitchen worktops, allowing us to match different budgets, styles, and levels of performance.

Our most commonly used materials include laminate, granite, quartz, porcelain, and sintered stone, with occasional solid surface options such as Corian and Samsung Staron for seamless, contemporary designs.

Laminate is the most cost-effective option, offering a huge variety of colours and finishes, including realistic stone and wood effects. It is practical, versatile, and ideal for budget-conscious projects or rental properties.

Granite is a natural stone, valued for its unique patterning and durability. No two slabs are the same, giving a truly individual finish with excellent heat resistance and long-term performance.

Quartz is one of the most popular modern choices, combining natural quartz with resins to create a strong, non-porous surface. It is low maintenance, highly durable, and available in a wide range of consistent colours and finishes.

Porcelain is an increasingly popular ultra-compact surface, known for its slim profile, stain resistance, and suitability for both indoor and outdoor use. It offers a very modern, architectural look.

Sintered stone is one of the most advanced surfaces available, engineered under extreme heat and pressure to deliver exceptional strength, scratch resistance, and heat resistance. It is ideal for high-use, luxury kitchens.

For seamless, modern designs, we also offer solid surface materials such as Corian and Staron, which allow for integrated sinks and joint-free finishes.

We work with leading brands including Silestone, Dekton, Laminam, Grespania, Caesarstone, Cambria, as well as trusted ranges such as Fugen, IQ Stone, M Stone, Nile Quartz, and Porcelanosa Xtone.

Each material has its own strengths, and the best choice depends on how you use your kitchen, the look you want to achieve, and your budget. We help guide you through the options to ensure you get the right balance of style, durability, and value.

If you’d like help choosing the right worktop for your kitchen, we’re always happy to offer straightforward advice and tailored recommendations.

What areas do you work?

We are based at Pear Mill, Bredbury (SK6 2BP), Stockport, and primarily offer our free design and quotation service within approximately 15 miles of our showroom.

This includes Stockport and surrounding areas such as:
Manchester, Salford, Trafford, Altrincham, Sale, Urmston, Stretford, Didsbury, Chorlton, Cheadle, Bramhall, Hazel Grove, Romiley, Marple, Marple Bridge, Mellor, Gee Cross, Hyde, Denton, Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside, and The Heaton Moor, Heton Chapel and Heaton Mersey.

We also regularly work throughout North Cheshire and parts of Derbyshire, including Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Knutsford, Poynton, Bollington, Tytherington (North Macclesfield), Glossop, and Hadfield.

For locations slightly further afield, we are still very happy to assist. In these cases, we typically begin with plans, measurements, or a design consultation, allowing us to provide accurate guidance and pricing before arranging a site visit if required.

If you’re unsure whether we cover your area, please get in touch—we’re always happy to help and advise.

Do you charge for your design and quotation service?

In most cases, no—we offer a free initial design and quotation service as part of our consultation process.

This typically applies to standard kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom projects. Exceptions may include insurance-related work or highly complex bespoke in-frame projects, which may require a more detailed design agreement.

We can work from your plans, rough measurements, or carry out a free site survey during standard working hours. Out-of-hours appointments may carry a charge.

Following your initial consultation, we usually allow 1–2 weeks to carefully develop your design and quotation. We do not rush this stage, as we believe the best results come from thoughtful planning, accurate detailing, and making sure everything works perfectly before anything is presented.

Once complete, you will be invited into our showroom where we will present your design and quotation in full, walk you through the concept, and discuss options in detail.

At this stage, we do not release drawings or visuals to take away, as the design remains part of our presentation process and intellectual work.

We aim to provide a transparent, consultative experience rather than high-pressure sales. Our focus is on designing the right solution for your home, not rushing a decision.

For clients who would like to explore ideas in more detail, we offer an optional design package (£250 image pack or £500 full plan and image pack). This is deducted from the final project cost if you proceed, and is typically valid for 12 months (extensions can be agreed if needed).

If you’d like to discuss your project or book a consultation, we’re always happy to help and guide you through the process.

Do you offer supply only?

Yes, we do offer a supply-only service across our kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms.

However, it is important to understand that the quality of the final installation is just as important as the quality of the product itself. Our interiors are designed to a high specification and often require experienced fitting, careful scribing, and attention to detail to achieve the best possible result.

For this reason, we always recommend using a specialist installer who is familiar with fitted furniture systems rather than a general tradesperson. A well-installed kitchen or bedroom will always perform and look better long term.

In terms of product suitability:

  • Schüller kitchens are the most installer-friendly for supply-only projects, with clear manufacturer guidance and structured installation systems.
  • Rotpunkt and Impuls kitchens can also be supplied, but are better suited to experienced kitchen fitters due to their specification and finish level.
  • Our bespoke in-frame kitchens by Novelle are highly specialist and we would generally recommend installation by an expert fitter familiar with traditional handmade cabinetry.

For bathrooms, we can offer supply-only packages more flexibly. Where we are not installing, we can often enhance pricing where possible, particularly on larger or full-room packages, as there are natural efficiencies in supply.

For bedrooms, we also offer supply-only options. These are high-quality bespoke systems and do not always include step-by-step installation instructions, so we strongly recommend an experienced fitted furniture installer to ensure the best result. While straightforward for a skilled joiner, some familiarity with bespoke fitted systems is important.

Across all ranges, we are happy to advise on suitability and help ensure you are confident before proceeding.

If you’re considering supply-only, feel free to get in touch—we’re always happy to advise on the best product choice and what type of installer would be most suitable for your project.

How far in advance should I book a kitchen, bedroom or bathroom installation?

We typically recommend booking your kitchen, bedroom, or bathroom installation around 8–12 weeks in advance, depending on the size and complexity of the project.

Our installation schedule is often booked up to three months ahead, although timings can change, and we may occasionally have earlier availability.

Alongside installation, it’s important to consider product lead times, which vary depending on the range and specification:

  • Bathrooms:
Many standard items are available within a few days. More bespoke or special-order products—particularly from premium European brands such as Novellini—can take 6–8 weeks depending on the specification.
  • German kitchens:
Rotpunkt, Schüller, and Impuls typically range from 6–12 weeks, with most projects completing within 6–8 weeks
  • Bespoke in-frame kitchens:
Our handmade range by Novelle is usually 8–10 weeks, reflecting the craftsmanship involved

All lead times are dynamic and can vary depending on factory demand and production schedules at the time of ordering.

For supply-only projects, timescales generally follow the same product lead times, without the need to coordinate installation schedules.

If you’re planning a project, we recommend getting in touch early—we’re always happy to advise on current lead times and help you plan the right timeline for your home.
