Richard & Richard’s design, supply and install kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, home offices, utility rooms and fitted furniture from our showroom at Pear Mill Shopping Village in Bredbury, Stockport.
We offer a complete showroom-led service, including design, product supply, project planning and installation. This can include furniture, appliances, worktops, sinks, taps, bathroom products, tiles, brassware, lighting, flooring and associated preparation works, depending on the project.
Our main service is design, supply and installation, but we can also offer supply-only where appropriate. We do not offer a fit-only service, as our value is in designing, supplying, managing and installing projects properly from the start.
We work across Stockport, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and nearby SK and M postcode areas, helping homeowners create practical, well-designed spaces tailored to their home, lifestyle and budget.
In short, no.
We supply and install all equipment as part of our service. This ensures that everything meets our quality standards and is fully compatible before installation begins.
Unfortunately, many products available online can be unsuitable or substandard, which can lead to delays, additional visits, and unnecessary disruption. By providing both the equipment and installation, we can guarantee a smoother process and a reliable end result for every client.
At your first consultation, we’ll discuss your kitchen, bathroom, bedroom or home office project in detail, including your ideas, budget, timescale, preferred style and how you use the space.
You can bring rough measurements, builder plans, architect drawings, photos, inspiration images or simply an idea of what you would like to achieve. We’ll use this stage to understand both the practical requirements and the overall look you want.
From there, we can advise on suitable layouts, furniture ranges, worktops, appliances, bathroom products, fitted furniture options and installation requirements before preparing a design and quotation.
For local projects across Stockport, Bredbury, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and nearby SK and M postcode areas, we may arrange a site survey where needed so that measurements, services and technical details can be checked before the design is finalised.
In most cases, no—we offer a free initial design and quotation service as part of our consultation process.
This typically applies to standard kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom projects. Exceptions may include insurance-related work or highly complex bespoke in-frame projects, which may require a more detailed design agreement.
We can work from your plans, rough measurements, or carry out a free site survey during standard working hours. Out-of-hours appointments may carry a charge.
Following your initial consultation, we usually allow 1–2 weeks to carefully develop your design and quotation. We do not rush this stage, as we believe the best results come from thoughtful planning, accurate detailing, and making sure everything works perfectly before anything is presented.
Once complete, you will be invited into our showroom where we will present your design and quotation in full, walk you through the concept, and discuss options in detail.
At this stage, we do not release drawings or visuals to take away, as the design remains part of our presentation process and intellectual work.
We aim to provide a transparent, consultative experience rather than high-pressure sales. Our focus is on designing the right solution for your home, not rushing a decision.
For clients who would like to explore ideas in more detail, we offer an optional design package (£250 image pack or £500 full plan and image pack). This is deducted from the final project cost if you proceed, and is typically valid for 12 months (extensions can be agreed if needed).
If you’d like to discuss your project or book a consultation, we’re always happy to help and guide you through the process.
Yes. We create detailed designs and visuals to help you understand the proposed layout, colours, finishes and overall feel of your room.
For kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and home offices, 3D visuals are a useful way to see how the design works before making final decisions on furniture, worktops, tiles, appliances, brassware, storage and other details.
Designs and visuals are usually presented during your showroom appointment, where we can talk through the design properly and explain the choices behind it.
We do not normally release drawings or visuals to take away at the initial quotation stage. Optional image and plan packages are available and can be credited against the final project if you proceed.
This is one of the most common questions we’re asked—and understandably so. The honest answer is that every project is different, as costs depend on the size of the space, the specification, and the level of finish you choose.
As a guide, for a complete service including design, removal, preparation, and full installation (covering electrics, plumbing, plastering, flooring, tiling, and appliances where required), typical project costs are:
To give you a clearer idea, here are a few typical examples:
We’re always happy to talk through your ideas and provide a tailored quote to suit your space, style, and budget.
If you have a budget in mind, let us know—we can often suggest options to make the most of it.
Yes. If you have a budget in mind, it is helpful to tell us early in the design process.
A clear budget allows us to recommend the most suitable furniture ranges, appliances, worktops, tiles, brassware and installation options for your project. It also helps us advise where to invest, where to simplify and which choices are likely to give the best overall value.
We prefer honest, practical conversations at the start rather than designing something unrealistic for the budget. Whether you are planning a full kitchen installation, bathroom renovation, fitted bedroom or home office, we can help you understand what is achievable.
Kitchens
A full kitchen installation, including removal of the existing kitchen, typically takes around two weeks. This can extend by an additional week depending on worktop fabrication times and any additional services required.
Bedrooms
Most bedroom installations are completed within a week, and smaller projects can take just a day or two depending on the number of cabinets.
For bespoke designs—such as angled units to maximise space—we often carry out the installation in two stages: first installing the framework and internals, then returning once the custom-made doors are ready.
Bathrooms
Bathroom installations generally take between two and three weeks. Larger or more intricate designs may take slightly longer, but most projects are completed within this timeframe.
We typically recommend booking your kitchen, bedroom, or bathroom installation around 8–12 weeks in advance, depending on the size and complexity of the project.
Our installation schedule is often booked up to three months ahead, although timings can change, and we may occasionally have earlier availability.
Alongside installation, it’s important to consider product lead times, which vary depending on the range and specification:
All lead times are dynamic and can vary depending on factory demand and production schedules at the time of ordering.
For supply-only projects, timescales generally follow the same product lead times, without the need to coordinate installation schedules.
If you’re planning a project, we recommend getting in touch early—we’re always happy to advise on current lead times and help you plan the right timeline for your home.
Yes. For full installation projects, Richard & Richard’s can manage the complete kitchen, bathroom, bedroom or fitted furniture installation from start to finish.
Depending on the project, this can include removal, preparation work, electrics, plumbing, plastering, flooring, tiling, decorating preparation, furniture installation, appliance installation and the finishing details.
The exact scope of work will be clearly detailed in your quotation, so you know what is included before the project begins. Our aim is to make the process as organised and straightforward as possible, with the relevant trades coordinated as part of the overall installation.
We also go further and add other works on, such as internal doors, architraves and even stair bannisters.
Yes. For full installation projects, removal of the existing kitchen, bathroom, bedroom or fitted furniture can be included as part of the work.
This can include taking out old cabinets, worktops, sanitaryware, appliances, tiles or fitted furniture, depending on the agreed project scope.
Disposal, skip hire or waste removal will be allowed for within the quotation where required. If there are any unusual items, access issues or specialist removal requirements, we will discuss these with you before the project begins.
All of our kitchens and bedrooms are supplied with rigid, factory-assembled cabinets as standard.
We work with trusted European manufacturers including Rotpunkt, Schüller, and Impuls, as well as our handcrafted in-frame collection by Novelle. Each offers excellent build quality, precision, and a consistently high standard of finish.
Rigid cabinetry provides greater strength, improved alignment, and a more refined result compared to flat-pack furniture. It also helps ensure a smoother installation process and a kitchen or bedroom that looks and performs as it should from day one.
Where required, larger or more complex units—such as tall cabinets or bespoke pieces—may be supplied in sections to allow for safe access, before being carefully assembled on site by our team.
Whether you’re looking for something simple and practical or a more bespoke design, we can guide you through the best options to suit your space and budget.
If you’re unsure what’s right for your project, feel free to get in touch—we’re always happy to offer straightforward advice.
We supply and install a wide range of high-quality kitchen worktops, allowing us to match different budgets, styles, and levels of performance.
Our most commonly used materials include laminate, granite, quartz, porcelain, and sintered stone, with occasional solid surface options such as Corian and Samsung Staron for seamless, contemporary designs.
Laminate is the most cost-effective option, offering a huge variety of colours and finishes, including realistic stone and wood effects. It is practical, versatile, and ideal for budget-conscious projects or rental properties.
Granite is a natural stone, valued for its unique patterning and durability. No two slabs are the same, giving a truly individual finish with excellent heat resistance and long-term performance.
Quartz is one of the most popular modern choices, combining natural quartz with resins to create a strong, non-porous surface. It is low maintenance, highly durable, and available in a wide range of consistent colours and finishes.
Porcelain is an increasingly popular ultra-compact surface, known for its slim profile, stain resistance, and suitability for both indoor and outdoor use. It offers a very modern, architectural look.
Sintered stone is one of the most advanced surfaces available, engineered under extreme heat and pressure to deliver exceptional strength, scratch resistance, and heat resistance. It is ideal for high-use, luxury kitchens.
For seamless, modern designs, we also offer solid surface materials such as Corian and Staron, which allow for integrated sinks and joint-free finishes.
We work with leading brands including Silestone, Dekton, Laminam, Grespania, Caesarstone, Cambria, as well as trusted ranges such as Fugen, IQ Stone, M Stone, Nile Quartz, and Porcelanosa Xtone.
Each material has its own strengths, and the best choice depends on how you use your kitchen, the look you want to achieve, and your budget. We help guide you through the options to ensure you get the right balance of style, durability, and value.
If you’d like help choosing the right worktop for your kitchen, we’re always happy to offer straightforward advice and tailored recommendations.
We supply a carefully selected range of high-quality kitchen appliances from leading European manufacturers, ensuring performance, reliability, and design consistency across every installation.

We are also an approved Siemens Studioline and Home Connect dealer, offering their premium connected appliance range for integrated smart kitchen solutions.
Alongside this, we offer Liebherr refrigeration, known for its exceptional build quality and specialist cooling technology.
For more budget-conscious projects, we can also supply CDA, although our focus is primarily on mid to premium appliance solutions.
We also supply a wide range of small domestic appliances, including products from Bosch and Smeg, as well as innovative solutions such as Bosch vacuum systems, including integrated and self-cleaning robotic options for modern homes.
Some of our most popular choices include:
Our role is to help you choose appliances that not only suit your budget, but also complement your kitchen design and lifestyle.
If you’d like advice on the best appliance package for your project, we’re always happy to guide you through the options.
We use a combination of our in-house installation team and a small number of carefully selected subcontractors, allowing us to maintain exceptional standards while offering flexibility on scheduling.
Our work is led by Richard Watson, Director and Project Installer, a highly experienced, time-served craftsman who personally oversees and carries out installations. Richard’s diary is often booked in advance due to demand.
Supporting him is our in-house team, including Laurence and Simon, both skilled installers with strong backgrounds in kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom fitting. Simon is a time-served joiner with excellent kitchen-related plumbing experience, while Laurence is a highly capable multi-skilled installer with particular strength in plumbing and finishing details, developed through years of working closely alongside Richard.
Where required, we also work with a small number of trusted subcontractors. Every installer is carefully chosen to ensure they meet our standards for workmanship, reliability, and attention to detail. Anyone working on your project represents our company, so quality and consistency are always our priority.
This approach allows us to deliver a high standard of installation while keeping lead times as flexible as possible.
If you’d like to discuss your project or current availability, we’re always happy to help and advise on the best way to move forward.
Yes. We can work from architect drawings, builder plans, extension plans or your own measurements at the early design stage.
This is particularly useful if you are planning a kitchen extension, knock-through, renovation or larger home improvement project. Involving us early can help make sure the kitchen, bathroom or fitted furniture design works properly with electrics, plumbing, lighting, ventilation, wall positions and other building details.
Where plans are still changing, we can usually begin with an initial design and then refine the layout, product choices and technical details as the project develops.
Sometimes, yes — but it depends on the condition, layout and suitability of the existing kitchen.
We can look at kitchen refresh options such as replacement doors, worktops, sinks, taps, appliances, panels or handles where the existing cabinets are in good condition and suitable for reuse.
However, we will always be honest if a full kitchen replacement would give a better, safer or longer-lasting result. Matching new doors, panels, colours and finishes to existing cabinets is not always exact, especially where products have aged, faded or come from a different manufacturer.

Yes, we do offer a supply-only service across our kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms.
However, it is important to understand that the quality of the final installation is just as important as the quality of the product itself. Our interiors are designed to a high specification and often require experienced fitting, careful scribing, and attention to detail to achieve the best possible result.
For this reason, we always recommend using a specialist installer who is familiar with fitted furniture systems rather than a general tradesperson. A well-installed kitchen or bedroom will always perform and look better long term.
In terms of product suitability:
For bathrooms, we can offer supply-only packages more flexibly. Where we are not installing, we can often enhance pricing where possible, particularly on larger or full-room packages, as there are natural efficiencies in supply.
For bedrooms, we also offer supply-only options. These are high-quality bespoke systems and do not always include step-by-step installation instructions, so we strongly recommend an experienced fitted furniture installer to ensure the best result. While straightforward for a skilled joiner, some familiarity with bespoke fitted systems is important.
Across all ranges, we are happy to advise on suitability and help ensure you are confident before proceeding.
If you’re considering supply-only, feel free to get in touch—we’re always happy to advise on the best product choice and what type of installer would be most suitable for your project.
At present, we do not offer finance or interest-free credit directly.
We have considered finance options in the past, but decided not to build the cost of offering finance into our project pricing. Instead, we prefer to quote as clearly and transparently as possible, with the project cost and payment stages explained before work begins.
Most of our kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and home office projects are quoted and paid for in agreed stages. This allows customers to understand the cost of the work, the payment schedule, lead times and likely installation timescales before committing to the project.
If you are planning a larger kitchen, bathroom, bedroom or home office project, we are happy to help you understand likely costs and timings so that you can plan ahead properly.
We recently had a bedroom fitted by R&R and we are absolutely delighted with the final result. Ben designed the bedroom and project-managed the whole process. He was professional, friendly and quick to respond to any queries we had. He also thoughtfully incorporated our bedroom extension into the final design, which worked perfectly. The team working on the project — Simon, Rik and Lawrence — were all friendly, respectful and incredibly skilled. Their workmanship was excellent and they were a pleasure to have in our home. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend R&R.

We’d been talking about doing a full bathroom makeover for a while, and we actually stumbled across R&R completely by chance while visiting another local business. From our very first meeting with Daniel right through to the final touches, the whole experience was smooth, organised, and genuinely stress-free. Our old bathroom needed everything — new floors, new walls, new electrics… basically a full rip-out and rebuild from scratch. The team took it all in their stride. They worked incredibly hard, kept us updated at every stage, and their attention to detail was second to none. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they were always happy to answer questions or talk us through the next steps. I honestly can’t recommend R&R highly enough. If you’re even considering a bathroom renovation, go and have a chat with them. Their showroom has a fantastic range of styles and products to choose from, and one of the best parts of the process was the 3D visuals they create — it really helps you picture exactly how your finished bathroom will look. We’re absolutely delighted with the result.

We first used R&R a few years ago to refit our kitchen and the experience was so positive we were never going to consider anyone else when we decided to upgrade our bathroom. The whole experience from beginning to end is very positive. Nothing is too much trouble there is no rush or pressure their attention to detail and workmanship is excellent, Rick fitted our bathroom with support from an electrician and plumber who helped resolve some minor issue with the radiator, everyone was a pleasure to deal with the job runs to time and they always come when they say they will. Not cheap but worth every penny, would recommend them without hesitation, and we will use them again if we need more work done.

We bought a property and had our bathroom renovated and ripped back to brick, turning two rooms into one. We called Richard and Richard’s and booked in for an appointment at their showroom, which was a really nice experience, they were never pushy and gave us all the time in the world to make decisions and choose styles, and nothing was ever too much effort for them. They made us quite a few designs as we’re very picky, and eventually we settled on a design. Ben was our Project Manager, along with Rick who did most of the work along with the rest of their team. Everything was managed by Ben, there was zero stress on our side and everything just got done without us ever having to ask what’s next. We had a brand new freestanding bath, toilet, walk in shower with an alcove for shelving, and a floating sink basin with the controls and taps all coming out from the wall. All new spotlights, tiles, flooring and mirror with lighting built in. I cannot recommend them enough, the whole project was done within the time they quoted, and well within the budget we requested. You’re given a very detailed itemised invoice before work begins so you can really figure out what’s costing what, and decide if you want to make any changes. Rick who did most of our installation was excellent and has a very keen eye for detail. Every little thing is essentially perfect, even down to the silicone around the bath and shower. Ben was excellent too and their service all around was perfect.

We had our bathroom completely remodelled with R&R. It took less time than was stated in the beginning and cost less money than was initially budgeted. From the initial contact, designing the bathroom to actually fitting – everybody who contributed to the job was consistently excellent. There is nothing to worry about with R&R – they will take the utmost care with the work. We are overjoyed with the work they’ve done for us.

Richard and Richard’s were great from start to finish. The planning stage with Daniel was great. It was straightforward and any questions or concerns I had were quickly answered. Timescales were clear and adhered to in terms of project start date and end date. The team always turned up at the times they said they would and were always friendly, courteous and professional. They always cleared up at the end of each day. I was particularly impressed at how hard the team worked, especially Laurence who was here most days. I am very pleased with my new bathroom and absolutely recommend this company.

We are so happy with our kitchen and with our decision to chose R&R. From initial contact with Daniel to Rick cleaning the tiles on the final day – service and communication were phenomenal! No hard sell; clear and relevant questioning; sensible, cost saving suggestions; project delivered in good time; itemised bills and payment schedules. These guys ROCK and we would definitely use them again. Even our neighbours commented on how tidy and considerate Rick was in clearing up and parking each day!
