Richard & Richard’s Design & Installation Specialists are based in Pear Mill in Bredbury, Stockport. From our showroom, we work with homeowners across Stockport, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and many surrounding SK and M postcode areas.

Our core service area is local enough for us to deliver the level of care, communication and project management our customers expect, while still covering a wide range of homes, property styles and project types.

Most of our work is carried out across Stockport and the surrounding areas, including Bredbury, Romiley, Marple, Hazel Grove, Bramhall, Cheadle, Cheadle Hulme, Heaton Moor, Heaton Mersey, Davenport, Offerton, Woodsmoor and Stockport town centre.

We also regularly speak to customers from nearby Greater Manchester and Cheshire areas, including Didsbury, Withington, Chorlton, Altrincham, Sale, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Macclesfield, Poynton, High Lane and surrounding towns and villages.

As a practical guide, our normal working area is around 15 miles from our Stockport showroom, covering many SK and M postcode areas. This helps us keep projects well managed, with realistic travel times for surveys, design visits, deliveries, installation and aftercare.

Why distance matters on a fitted interiors project

A kitchen, bathroom, bedroom or home office project is very different from buying a standard product online.

Good fitted interiors need accurate measuring, careful planning and proper communication between the designer, supplier, installer and customer. On full installation projects, distance can affect travel time, labour planning, deliveries, parking, site visits and how efficiently we can respond if something needs checking.

That is why we are clear and practical about where we work. We would rather give honest advice at the start than overpromise and risk compromising the service.

Kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and home offices

Although many customers first find us when searching for a kitchen showroom in Stockport, our work covers much more than kitchens.

We design, supply and install fitted kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and home offices, as well as complete room transformations. Depending on the project, this can include design, furniture, appliances, sinks, taps, worktops, bathroom products, fitted storage, lighting considerations, installation planning and project management.

We also offer supply-only or managed supply options where appropriate, but we do not offer a fit-only service. Our value is in helping customers choose the right products, plan the space properly and achieve a high-quality finish.

Working further afield

Although our main focus is Stockport, Greater Manchester and Cheshire, we have also worked further afield where the project is the right fit.

For projects outside our usual working radius, the first stage is often carried out using the client’s own plans, measurements, architect drawings or design information. This allows us to understand the scale, layout and requirements before committing to travel or detailed site work.

Where a project is further away, additional charges may apply to reflect the extra distance, travel time, planning and logistics involved. We will always discuss this clearly before moving ahead, so there are no surprises.

Why visit our Stockport showroom?

Our Pear Mill showroom gives customers the chance to see products, finishes and ideas in person before making decisions.

This is especially helpful for fitted kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms, where online images alone rarely tell the full story. Materials, colours, storage options, worktops, appliances and room layouts are much easier to understand when you can talk them through with an experienced designer.  Please note that we do not have any bedroom displays, but the doors we sell can be used in multiple rooms.

A showroom visit also helps us understand how you live, what you need from the space and what matters most to you: style, storage, budget, durability, accessibility, appliances, low maintenance or full project management.
