FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Getting work carried out on your home can be a daunting process. With our range of questions below, we aim to answer our customers most common concerns. For anything else, just use the contact form at the bottom of the page.

Do you do fit only; where I supply the equipment and you just fit it?

In short, No.

There are a lot of substandard products on the market and with the internet being prevalent, a lot of items are accepted by clients without being checked and potentially cause delays with us having to return to fit whilst potentially inconveniencing other clients. We moved away from fit only many years ago.

How long does a Kitchen/ Bedroom/ Bathroom take?

Kitchens from removal are generally two weeks, although depending on countertop fabrication times this may extend by a week or so depending your choice if other services are required.

Bedrooms are usually completed within a week, if not a day or so depending on how many cabinets.  If there are custom angled, to maximise on space we like to work on a two part installation with first fixing all the internals and framework and then returning after manufacturing to fit the custom made doors.

Bathrooms are generally two to three weeks. If very intricate and large, this may extend a little longer, but invariably two to three weeks.

How much does a kitchen, bedroom or bathroom cost?

Always a difficult one as every job is different and includes different things. For the full preparation with removal, plastering, electrical, full fit including appliances, flooring, tiling, plumbing, etc our price generally ranges as followed:

  • Kitchen £12,000 to £85,000
  • Bedroom £5,000 to £25,000
  • Bathroom £10,000 to £40,000

Are your cabinets flat packed or rigid?

Both our Rotpunkt German and Component Range Kitchens/ bedrooms are supplied rigid.  Where an item is extremely large or we need to take it apart, it will be ordered disassembled for easier transport (Large larder units, wardrobes and some custom L Shape Corners).

Do you have your own fitters or subcontract?

Both! Rick Watson, Project Installer (Director) is a time-served installer whom books up first in advance. We do also have subcontractors to fulfil client who don’t wish to wait for Richard. We are very picky about who works for us as we know they’re representing us.

What appliances do we sell?

We have strategically partnered to sell Bosch, Neff, Siemens, Smeg and Elica Appliances.  We are a Siemens Studioline and Home Connect dealer.

What is the difference between quartz and granite?

Granite is an igneous rock formed in a volcano, whereas quartz is a man made product by combining quartzite with dyes and polymers.  We recommend dark granites as they are less suseptible to staining than the lighter counterparts.  The lighter granites are more porous and stain much easier; for that reason, where possible we recommend quartz for lighter toned design application or when a client wants a more consistent look.
